There are many beautiful local beaches to choose from. A five minute
drive will bring you to Port of Ness beach (shown) There is a newly
built restaurant, The Boat Shed
which offers take away as well as sit in. There is also an Art Gallery and a Coffee Shop. The rear of the house looks over towards the Butt with its stunning views and Breathtaking cliffs. On the way you will pass the award winning Eoropaidh Dunes park , here you will also find a Tea room. From there a five minute walk will take you to the beach. |

The Callanish
Stones
are about a forty minute drive from Ness, but are a must for
visitors. There is a shop and restaurant at the site.Local
tradition explains the presence of these stones
by saying that when giants of old who then lived on the island refused
to
be Christianed, St.Kieran turned them to stone.... |
